Having some documentation pages which show all the screens with labels to explain what each button does is an excellent suggestion. We will try to get this up on our web site.

Given all the other work going on right now with the setup required to sell books from publishers on the amblingbooks.com site, and releasing the iPhone version of the player it will probably be at least a month before we can get this done.

The default setting which tracks the last 100 play positions in each book is usually more than adequate and you don't need to change this setting unless either 1) you ran into a case where you needed to go back more than 100 positions, or 2) you want to decrease the size of the Ambling BookPlayer database. It takes about 24 bytes to store each bookmark, so to store 100 bookmarks it uses about 2.4KB. The memory used to store the bookmarks is very small compared to the ~300MB to 1GB used to store that audio files for a book, so the storage size of the bookmarks shouldn't be an issue for most people.

Just leave this setting at 100 play positions unless you have a specific reason that you want to change it to something else.
