In most cases you can add all of your audio files to an audiobook at the same time. However if your audio files have names which do not sort alphabetically in the correct play order then you may need to add the audio files to the book a few at a time.
Sometimes people will title their audio file names bookname1.mp3, bookname2.mp3, ..., bookname9.mp3, bookname10.mp3, ... The problem with numbering the files without using leading zeros is that the audio file names do not sort alphabetically in the same order in which you want them to play. People that often work with multiple file audiobooks will usually change their numbering system to use leading zeros to avoid these types of problems. Titles such as bookname001.mp3, bookname002.mp3, ... do sort alphabetically in the same order that you want them to play.
If your audio files are numbered without leading zeros you can still add the files to the Ambling Bookplayer so that they play in the proper order. To do this you will need to add files to the audiobook multiple times. You can add the audio files which have single digit numbers all at once, and then add all the audio files which have double digit numbers after that. The add audio file list provides checkmark boxes next to each of the file names, so just make sure that only the files with single digit numbers are checked the first time you add audio files to the book. After you have completed adding the single digit audio files select the "Edit Audio Files" button and then use the MENU button to select the option to "Add Audio Files" to the book. The second time you add audio files, make sure that only the audio files with double digit numbers have the checkmark set. This should result in all the audio files being added to the audiobook in the correct order.
If you have mixed single digit and double digit numbers, you may want to just check the checkmarks next to the audio file names which only have a single digit both times when you add audio files, since there will only be 9 of these files. The second time, when you want to add the double digit files, use the MENU button and select "Invert All" which will uncheck the single digit files that you marked and check all of the remaining files.
If your audio files do not use numbers and do not sort in the correct alphabetical order, then you will need to add one audio file at a time to the book in order to add the audio files in the correct play order.
