appalling responsiveness

Playing around with the free version, for the moment, I've noticed that responsiveness of the player ff/rewind buttons and especially progress bar is appalling. When I play my abooks with the default player touching progress bar make it jump instantly. With ambling this is more like stabbing the meter before it catches on.

Some users have reported that very large audio files do respond slowly to time jump requests. This has already been discussed in this forum at http://amblingbookplayer.com/forums/showthread.php?19-Doesn-t-seem-to-handle-long-MP3s

The issue does appear to be related to the large size of the audio files, and the other users have reported that the standard Andriod media player shows the same delay when seeking within these large files. With other combination music/audiobook players it is often necessary to create extremely large audiobook files so that the player will remember your bookmark position in the file. With the Ambling BookPlayer which is a specialized audiobook player this is not necessary, as the bookmarking system works across multiple audio files.
